Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Elizabeth Brown brings more than an impressive resume of executive and entrepreneurial skills to LiivMD. As a dedicated social worker, advocate, and educator, she has changed the lives of countless people. Today, she infuses her mission at LiivMD with that same compassion and purpose.

In 2001, Elizabeth created Turtle Nest Village, a groundbreaking program that provided housing, education and life skills to homeless former foster youth in Florida. This award-winning program has been replicated in numerous cities. As Founder and CEO of LiivMD, Elizabeth again demonstrates her ability to identify a need, envision possibilities and create solutions. LiivMD is the latest example of her commitment to helping others improve their lives

Debra M. McPhee, PhD.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. McPhee brings to LiivMD more than 20 years of professional and executive leadership skill as an educator, researcher, scholar, clinical practitioner, and former university Dean. She has international professional experience having worked throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Dr. McPhee’s extensive funded research includes published work in the areas of international health care policy, welfare reform, curriculum development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and higher education.

Joel M. Evans, M.D

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Evans is recognized and respected in integrative and allopathic medicine. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the Founder and Director of the Center for Women’s Health in Stamford, CT, and a senior faculty member of both the Institute of Functional Medicine and the Center for Mind/Body Medicine, Dr. Evans is proud to bring his extensive knowledge and experience as a physician educator and clinician to LiivMD. In his role of CMO, Dr. Evans is responsible for the creation and oversight of medical content and messaging to both health professionals and the general public.

Geoffrey Fleming

As one of the early team members of Craigslist, Geoff’s experience ranges from high-level project management skills to engineering, marketing, and company operations. Geoff brings over 15 years of experience to LiivMD. As an Executive, Entrepreneur, and Consultant in the Web. His understanding of local and marketplace technology will position LiivMD to be leading resource in the health and wellness industry.

Gary Greinke

Chief Revenue Officer

Gary has a proven record of success in business development selling programs to health plans and Fortune 500 decision makers in human resources and benefits. His solid sales expertise at managing client relationships through strategic planning, creative problem solving, project management and extensive knowledge of the health care market is a perfect fit with LiivMD market strategy.

Matthew Pullerits

Lead Developer

Matthew holds a masters degree in computer engineering, is a published academic author and has over 10 years of experience in Internet application development. His exceptional skills include technical architecture and implementation, software and database development, graphic design, and business consulting. In addition to serving as the primary developer for all of the LiivMD properties, Matthew is the primary architect and developer of the EckhartTolleTV.com website and is founder and of InkShuffle.com.

James Abee

Executive Director of Media

James is an accomplished creative executive with over twenty years experience working in film, television and new media. Bringing an in-depth background in story and strategic messaging, he has developed original content for entertainment, information and health and wellness platforms worldwide. Most recently he spent five years at Al Gore’s Emmy-award winning television network, Current TV, where as Director of International Programming he helped design and launch multi-platform networks in the US, UK and Italy.

Bernadette Murphy

Executive Editor

Medical writer, senior editor, and former ICU nurse, Bernadette offers a unique synthesis of both conventional and alternative medical systems gleaned from a 30-year immersion in the health, wellness and personal development industries. She has written abroad and for Madison Avenue ad firms, has an extensive background in online media writing and has written for many physicians providing them with an online voice and presence.

Walt Spevak

Chief Financial Officer

Walt has over 20 years of business experience in both the private sector and non-profits worlds working for both start-ups and public companies. In that capacity he worked in strategic and tactical roles, building financial models, performing financial analysis and fund raising, as well as in project management, product marketing, and managing and improving operational processes. Walt holds both an undergraduate degree in economics and MBA with a focus on technology and finance from Stanford University.

Barbara Kowalski has nearly 20 years of experience in strategic communications and business development serving the healthcare and technology industries. Previously, Barbara worked at some of the nation’s largest PR agencies and ran her own consulting firm focused on the healthcare and wellness industries.

Justin brings years of experience working within the healthcare field as a patient care coordinator, project manager, consultant, and chief operations officer for various primary care, integrated care, and internal medicine practices. His unique skills and in-depth knowledge help LiivMD and our clients navigate the complex healthcare market as it relates to insurance, practice workflow, and the creation of a quality experience for patients and consumers.

James Held

James Held served as Chairman, President and CEO of the well-known Home Shopping Network. Held was also Chairman of the Board and acting CEO of Smart Bargains, Inc., a successful on-line retailer of off-price branded consumer products. Currently Jim is the President and CEO of JPBK Consulting, Inc. In addition to his professional life, Held serves on various charitable boards. Held is a graduate of Allegheny College and holds a J.D. degree from Albany Law School of Union University.

Bob was appointed Chairman and CEO of DUAL International in July 2009. With over 40 years insurance experience and previously President and CEO of Arch Insurance Company Europe, Bob successfully built Arch from a start-up operation into a $500m business. He was also Chairman of Arch Europe and sat on the board of its Lloyds Syndicate. Prior to his time with Arch, Bob worked for CNA Financial where he was responsible for five business units with a revenue base of $1 billion.
